Hi - thanks for dropping in...I'm Keef Ge and I host the Midnight Mash Up. I first arrived in Israel in Feb 1988, having travelled down through Europe. I joined the VOP in May 1988 and served on board the MV Peace until May 1989. During that year, I spent many shore leaves exploring the local night life and felt particularly at home in the Shambas Jazz Bar behind Dizengoff Square. I was also able to travel extensively throughout Israel and Palestine and meet many people on both sides of the "Intifada" who, it seemed, might easily be friends with one another, had it not been for their political differences - the same differences the VOP aimed to remedy. Two decades later, I chanced upon the new VOP website just a couple of weeks before the station's relaunch on 7th Nov 2009. Following the relaunch, I was given the opportunity to produce my own show... the Midnight Mash Up. At present, I'm building a new studio and plan to be back with a new series before too long... so watch this space! |
